My Mommy and Daddy have very different ideas about how to keep Eliza's head warm this winter....

My Daddy's so smart, they just made him a Master of Education! We threw him a graduation party this weekend to celebrate, and almost all my cousins came over to help. At one point my Grandpa counted sixteen of us! Needless to say, we had alot of fun and made a really big mess. Check out the picture my Mommy took of my room after it had already been picked up once. Now that's what I call a party!!!

My Mommy, Daddy, and I finally got around to carving out the pumpkin I got a few weeks ago. No one told me how messy this was going to be! It only took me a minute though to get into the swing of things and help Daddy take out all the slimy stuff. My Mommy's no pro at carving, but she did make me a nice, friendly pumpkin face. I think I'll name him Jack, and we'll be forever friends. Or at least Four-Day friends, he's kind of starting to smell.

Congratulations Daddy! What a big deer you have! I've been looking for a nice place to hang all my winter coats and bags, it looks like I can fit at least ten of them on there. (I think I'm going to have to go shopping to use them all up. What a good way to combine both Mommy and Daddy's favorite things to do!)

Yep, that's right, last night my baby sister had to get the boot off the couch. A whole bunch of thunder tried to get in my room, and as we all know the safest place to be during a big, scary storm is with your Daddy. As for Eliza, she got stuck with my Mommy. Too bad for her, my Mommy's a pretty big wimp. (I think she almost gave me the boot herself.)

I have had so much fun these last few days I can hardly stand it! My cousin Piper came to stay with us while her Mommy, Daddy, and little sister Nola went to go learn how to hula dance and hang ten in Hawaii. We kept my Mommy busy, busy, busy with all of our activities. From playing hide-and-seek, to torturing my dog and cat, to going for lots of wagon rides, to not sharing my toys, I think my Mommy could use a nap! It was so great having my Indy cousin here though, and we already miss her big hugs and kisses so much. Please come back soon Piper, and next time you can leave Nola here too and we'll have a big ol' slumber party! (You may not want to tell my Mommy until you get here though, or she might abandon ship.)

This is just a picture of Eliza that my Mommy wanted me to add. She was very proud of her last night, after almost eleven long weeks of waiting, she finally slept over eight hours in a row! (It only took me seven weeks to get that down pat, I guess when you're as good of a kid as I am those things just come naturally.)

This is my dog Ike. He just got a haircut yesterday, and my Mommy is soooo happy! She was very sick of picking doghair out of me and my sister's mouth, and having to vaccuum everyday to get rid of the "hairball tumbleweeds" that seemed to take over our house. And if you ask me, I think he likes it. Strike a pose Ike-y!

Here are some pictures of my baby sister Eliza turning two months old, trying to suck her thumb, and "walking the line" in her favorite Johnny Cash onesie.

I'm not sure this is what my Mommy had in mind when she asked me if I'd help her clean the house.

Just in case any of you are wondering who that crazy caravan walking down the road is, rest easy. It's just the Alberda clan out for an evening stroll. Hopefully no one had any nutty ideas about sharing the sidewalk with us.

Can you find me in this picture? Yesterday my family and I went to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch to pick some goodies to take back home with us. I had such a fun time picking the apples off the trees and finding just the right pumpkin. I tried to put the pumpkin in Eliza's carseat with her, as it looked like a great way to transport it home, but Mommy and Daddy thought the back of the car might be a better spot for it. Then later we got to have some cider and chili, and took an apple pie home with us for dessert. If I would have known fall was so cool and tasted so good, I would have put my swim trunks away a long time ago!
