It was a big day over here at my house... Eliza had her first taste of camo! My Daddy was so proud, and had a big old grin on his face every time he looked at her. I think that camoflage must be infiltrating our house more than we realize though, because my Mommy didn't notice until after she took the picture of me and Eliza on the chair that I was in camo too! (I thought my Mommy was sneaky, but my Daddy is subtle and sneaky. A deadly combination.)

Here we go again! It's lambing time already at my Daddy's farm, and here is the very first lamb. I tried to tuck this one in my jacket, but between the mommy sheep's eagle eyes and my own Mommy's determination to keep me warm by bundling me in 17 different layers, I just plain could not move quick enough. That's all right though, I've got plenty of time before the season's over to sneak home a lamb-friend for my very own.

Since there has been nothing exciting happening over here at the Alberda Abode I thought I would just post some pictures of my little sister. She's starting to turn into trouble, as she has figured out that she knows how to take hold of things, and tries to grab every toy of mine in sight. As far as I can tell this was not part of the bargain. She may stay, but she may not play. I need to get that in writing...

No, this is not the result of some horrific accident. I was merely experimenting with what would happen if I tucked a red crayon in the pocket of my pants just before Mommy did the laundry. I submit for your review Evidence A and Evidence B. What you are not seeing is Evidence C through Evidence ZZZ, the remainder of the load of laundry that Mommy had to throw away, or is still scrubbing in the sink. For all of you curious toddlers out there, this is one lesson I advise you to skip. My Mommy's not looking too thrilled with my latest quest for knowledge....

I have surmised that attempting to build a snowman during a Michigan winter is an exercise in futility. In less than 24 hours my "Frosty" turned into "Toasty".
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go put on my suntan lotion, I mean my mittens, I mean my raincoat.

Eliza decided she was going to skip the whole rolling over, crawling, and walking thing and go straight to flying. That little sister of mine is one smart cookie. Oooooh, and she'll be able to reach the cookies. I like where this is going.....

I sure do miss having my Dad home for Christmas Break. He used to make me the world's biggest pancakes for breakfast! You may wonder why he's cooking them on my little table instead of in the kitchen like most normal adults? Well, apparantly our kitchen is on strike, and will not let us use more than one appliance at a time if we still want any of them to work. I kind of like it, "seat-side" service is pretty nice!
